About Us

Maya De Memorial Foundation (MDMF) is a philanthropic, non-political trust established in 2011 by Professor Ashok Basu (University of Kalyani, Physics Department) and Professor Sujata De Basu (Berhampore Girls’ College, Economics Department). The foundation was created to support and empower underprivileged communities through education and social welfare initiatives.

MDMF manages two schools—Rejaul Karim Shishu Bidyalay and Nilima Shishu Bikas Kendra. Previously, education and health activities were run separately, but growing challenges in coordination led to the formation of a unified trust to streamline efforts and enhance impact.
